Get ready for the quirkiest Indian film ever made, and the first of many yet to come! Netflix’s YouTube announcement of Looop Lapela released today is quite short and inciteful.
The comedy-thriller narrates the story of a girl who’s on a quest to rescue her boyfriend from a messy situation. She needs cash to save his life in only 20 minutes. Taapsee Pannu stars as the girlfriend while Tahir Raj Bhasin stars as her boyfriend.
Bhatia expressed his exhilaration for the movie, describing how it boldly juggles between comedy, romance and thriller, making for a rollercoaster experience for viewers.
Other actors joining the duo include Shreya Dhanwanthary as Julia, Hani Yadavas as Prateek, Dibyendu Bhattacharya as Victor, Nikhil Yadav as Tarun and K.C. Shankar as Atul Borkar. Other interesting roles are Shri Mamlesh Charan Chaddha played by Rajendra Chawla, Gappu played by Raghav Raj Kakker, Gangster played by Suresh Triveni, Inspector David Colaco played by Bhupesh Bandekar, Appu played by Manik Papneja, Yash played by Varun Pande and Jacob starring Sameer Kevin Roy.
The movie will premiere on Netflix India early next year.
