Before the season premieres next spring, check out this 90-second clip from the first episode of Season 6.
Jamie (Sam Heughan) and Claire (Caitriona Balfe) are seen in the trailer discussing Tom Christie’s impending arrival at Ardsmuir, where Jamie is imprisoned. They weren’t exactly friends throughout their time together, but Jamie claims he couldn’t possibly make an exception when he welcomed his fellow inmates to Fraser’s Ridge to remain with him. Claire is, of course, compassionate, which is one of the many reasons Jamie calls her his “angel.”
The book-based series
“Outlander,” based on the best-selling books by Diana Gabaldon, hasn’t aired new episodes since May 10, 2020. Season 6 will premiere on the 34th anniversary of Gabaldon’s first day of writing the series. Although the sixth season of Outlander won’t broadcast until March 2022, Gabaldon has already given her okay to the first episode.
She comments, “The first episode is simply great; it’s wonderful.” “They’re all good; in fact, this is the first season in which I haven’t found a single episode that I didn’t enjoy. They always do a terrific job; it’s just the direction they choose to go in. Anyway, the season is exceptionally good throughout.”
Is there going to be more Outlander?
The series has already been renewed for a seventh season. After skipping season 6, Steven Cree told Digital Spy exclusively that he hopes Ian will return for it. “I’d love to go back, and especially if they decide to do that plot and it wraps up Ian’s tale, then yes, it would be a really wonderful finale – not that I want him to [spoiler] – and full circle for the character,” he remarked.
The sixth season of Outlander will broadcast in March 2022. In the United States, it airs on Starz, and in the United Kingdom, it’s accessible on Amazon Prime Video.
