Space Force Returns for a Second Season on Netflix

Space Force got the green light for a second season, with its official release set to happen on Friday, February 18 2022.
On November 17 2020, Space Force posted on their Twitter account that season 2 had officially been renewed. A GIF of the ever-funny Steve Carrell as Gen. Mark R, Naird in the series certainly warms your heart.

Well, Space Force (@realspaceforce) recently announced the show’s season 2 Netflix release with the caption, “Not even gravity can keep them down. Space Force returns on February 18.”

Netflix launched Space Force season 1 on May 28 2020, parading a huge group of A-list actors including, the comedian Steve Carrell, Lisa Kudrow, Greg Daniels, Jimmy O. Yang, Ben Schwartz, Diana Silvers and John Malkovich.

Does Space Force Season 2 Turn Over a New Leaf?

The show received plenty of criticism so, we expect some changes this time around that would hopefully give it a chance to get it right.

According to the THR report, production was shifted from Los Angeles to Vancouver to minimise expenditure. This adds to the show’s writer shakeup, staring with Norm Hiscock’s recruit as a showrunner. Hiscock is recognized for his notable work on Brooklyn Nine-Nine, The Kids in The Hall, King of the Hill, Corner Gas and Saturday Night Live.
What to Look Out For in Space Force Season 2

The end of the previous season left the audience holding its breath, with Gen. Mark heading back to the Space Force headquarters to save the day, pending a dispute between the U.S. and China, who are hard at work to destroy each other’s bases.

Viewers are expecting to get clues on why Maggie is in prison. Apart from knowing that she’s serving a 40-year sentence, we have no idea what she’s in for. However, she escaped with her inmate girlfriend to assist Erin.

We also expect the show to continue exploring the blooming relationship between Angela and Dr. Chan.
