Stranger Things Season 4: Everything We Know So Far

Stranger Things is coming back for a fourth season in just a few months. Having wrapped filming around September of 2021, we expect to see it released in the summer of 2022. So only another half a year to wait!

What is Stranger Things?

We know that everyone already knows, but just in case you’ve recently crawled out from under a rock, Stranger Things is a fantasy sci-fi series set in the fictional town of Hawkins, Indiana, in the 1980s. It has cool clothes, cool music, and really cool hair. It follows a group of nerdy kids, one of them with superpowers and a dark history. I don’t want to give anything away if you haven’t seen it, so I’ll say no more.

What’s New With This Season?

Stranger Things is heading to California, where Eleven doesn’t seem to be really settling in to her new life or her new school. We’re not sure what’s going on with Hopper – in season three of the series it appeared that he had sacrificed himself but then Netflix released this teaser:

Obviously just to confuse us further, they also released this teaser: Stranger Things 4 | Eleven, are you listening?

It looks like we might be learning a lot more about Eleven’s back story in the next season. Then they released this teaser, Stranger Things 4 | Creel House.

It gives me the feeling that this spooky house may have something to do with the upside-down. Or it may be a clue that the gang has turned their talents to ghosthunting. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Stranger Things Season 4 will be Released on Netflix in July 2022, Rumors Say

Will Anyone New Join the Cast?

Well, it’s funny you ask, because actually, yes. Erica Sinclair, the younger sister of Lucas, will be back with a more prominent role to play, and Agents of SHIELD’s Joel Stoffer will have a small role. Also joining the cast are Robert Englund (yes, Freddy), Booksmart’s Eduardo Franco, Game of Thrones actor Tom Wlaschiha, Jamie Campbell Bower, Sherman Augustus, Mason Dye, Nikola Djuricko, and Joseph Quinn.
