15 Sexy Anime Girls with Black Hair

The world of anime is full of pretty characters with eye-catching hairstyles and every hair color you can possibly imagine, and then some. But it’s not all crazy colors, some characters have natural-colored hair, with black, brown, blond, and red dos.

Here are 15 of the best black-haired beauties you can find.

15. Kefla (Dragon Ball Super)

Technically two people, Kefla is the fusion of the Universe 6 Saiyans Caulifla and Kale. It simply felt wrong to separate the two or only include one of them in the list. It has to be Kefla. You know what I mean?

Wielding the immense power of a Legendary Super Saiyan, Kefla managed to keep up with Universe 7’s best despite the Super Saiyan form being relatively new to both Caulifla and Kale. Even though she doesn’t get as much screen time compared to the other characters on this list, she takes a spot due to sheer power and awesomeness.

14. Momo Yaoyorozu (My Hero Academia)

U.A. Class 1-A’s vice president is a real show stopper. It’s hard not to stare at her spiky, gravity-defying ponytail… among other things (I was talking about the sweet loose strands in front of her face, what were you thinking about?).

Yaoyorozu also has a really unique quirk of creating inanimate objects from her biomass (specifically her fat cells) and though she has some doubts about her capabilities as a hero she is a great strategist and can handle herself in a fight pretty well too.

13. Akeno Himejima (High School DxD)

Moving on from vice president to queen. She may look like she’s an angel that fell from heaven and that’s because she is. Meet one of the strongest fallen angels of Rias Gremory’s evil pieces: the queen Akeno Himejima.

At first glance, a hardcore sadist who finds pleasure in the suffering of others (and by that, I mean she gets turned on by it… yeah). But once her emotional walls let up a little, we see she’s actually a caring person who gets deeply hurt when the people she cares for are in trouble.

12. Touka Takanashi (Love, Chuunibyou and Other Delusions)

The older sister of the protagonist Rikka (who I would’ve absolutely put on this list too except her hair in the anime is more deep purple-ish than black). She’s another character I wish got more screen time in the anime as she was just such a cool character with the red eyes, ahoge, and the dry humor she brings to the scene.

And despite her being against Rikka’s childish antics, you cannot tell me she doesn’t have a bit of chuunibyou herself the way she handles herself with a ladle whenever “fighting” Rikka.

11. Azusa Nakano (K-ON!)

The second guitarist of the band Houkago Tea Time (After School Tea Time) is the ever adorable and humble Azu-nyan! She was initially an uptight character who kept scolding her band members for their laissez-faire attitude but eventually gets used to their routine (or lack of it).

She often gets teased by their lead guitarist Yui for her cuteness and thus gets called Azu-nyan. She’s not just cute though, she plays a mean guitar and is even better than Yui herself but she’s really down-to-earth and even calls herself a novice.

10. Hanekawa Tsubasa (Monogatari series)

I don’t know everything, I just know what I know, and I know that I love Hanekawa Tsubasa. If you haven’t seen my other article about white-haired characters, I put Hanekawa in there too. In my defense though, I’m not being completely biased. They are technically different characters as the white-haired Hanekawa is her being possessed by the sawarineko.

This version of Hanekawa is way sweeter and kinder and broken and dead inside and traumatized. Yeah, despite her usual cheerful appearance, this girl has some serious issues but understanding them and appreciating who she’s become because of them is one of the things that makes her so likable.

9. Sunako Nakahara (The Wallflower)

After getting rejected and called ugly by a former crush, Sunako Nakahara turns to the dark side and finds joy in the darkness, murder, and gore and as well as a burning hatred for all things bright and beautiful. Sounds ridiculously over-the-top and weird? That’s part of the hilarious charm of The Wallflower.

Also, somebody needs to buy that former crush some prescription glasses because Sunako is actually really beautiful when she isn’t screaming bloody murder or trying to curse every handsome or beautiful person she sees.

8. Mayuri Shiina (Steins;Gate)

Tutturu-! Now entering: Mayuri Shiina! This cheerful little ray of sunshine is the heart of Okabe’s Future Gadget Lab. She brings happiness and her unique brand of feminine charm to any scene she’s in and it just triggers your must-protect instinct whenever she’s in trouble.

Which, unfortunately, happens a lot in the show. Be warned.

7. Lan Fan (Fullmetal Alchemist: Brotherhood)

Lan Fan is the personal bodyguard of Ling Yao, a prince from Xing who’s constantly under threat of assassination from his step-siblings who seek to be the next heir to the throne.

She may not have the powers of an alchemist but she makes up for it with incredibly ninja-like fighting skills and tools. After her arm gets severed in battle, she gets a metal automail arm with a wicked blade that pops out from the shoulders. She can even sense chi or the life force of those around her and can determine if they’re corrupted such as those of the Hummonculi.

With these, she can protect the prince and even keep up with seasoned alchemists and the seemingly immortal Hummonculi.

6. Nezuko Kamado (Demon Slayer)

Tanjiro Kamado’s younger sister is a cinch to make it on this list. And I’m not just saying that because I’m liable to get decapitated by Tanjiro if I don’t ha ha ha… ha.

Just kidding, Tanjiro wouldn’t do that. Zenitsu on the other hand… I am not safe.

Anyway, Nezuko is a really loyal girl who’ll do anything to protect her brother and even any humans under the threat of demons, despite being a demon herself. And that’s another thing that makes her so great, somehow, through sheer kind-heartedness, she manages to keep her humanity and control the demonic urges to feed on human flesh.

5. Mikasa Ackerman (Attack on Titan)

Arguably one of the top 2 or 3 fighters in a show full of grappling hooking swordsmen. If that doesn’t make her worthy of being on this list, then I don’t know what is.

Astounding fighting and survival instincts aside though, Mikasa is also a really trustworthy person and an invaluable friend to have. She gives off some really solid tsundere vibes too so if that’s your type then that’s a good plus.

4. Mio Akiyama (K-ON!)

Another member of Houkago Tea Time, Mio is the band’s bassist, second vocalist, main lyricist, and main voice of reason (at least before Azusa joined). Mio fills her roles well as she’s a very talented girl.

She’s incredibly shy and soft-spoken though so being in a band where tons of people watch you whenever you play can be a real issue for her. But she’ll get the hang of it, I just know it, lezzgo Mio!

3. Komi Shouko (Komi Can’t Communicate)

Speaking of shy and soft-spoken girls, here’s the prime minister of placidity, the bureaucrat of bashfulness, the goddess of Itan Private High School, Komi Shouko!

Komi suffers from a communication disorder which so she struggles really hard with it. Well, actually, I’d argue she communicates fine, she just can’t speak well (she communicates well enough by writing, gesturing, or with body language,). She really really wants friends though so she has it really rough.

Komi’s incredibly popular at school too and so people don’t approach her at first because they think she’s too good to be her friend. Their loss.

2. Kyouka Jirou (My Hero Academia)

The third and final musician on the list, Kyouka can play various instruments but her instrument of choice is the base, she also sings pretty well. But all of her musical talents actually come second to her main calling, and that’s to be a professional hero!

Her quirk gives her headphone jacks attached to her earlobes which she can move around freely. They allow her to hone in on sounds from other rooms by plugging them into a surface she wants to hear from. They also allow her to channel her heartbeat through them so she can plug them into an amplifier to create a sonic attack. A rockstar on the stage and on the battlefield.

1. Tsukihi Araragi (Monogatari series)

Another Monogatari character and this time it’s the main protagonist’s “younger sister” (I don’t wanna spoil anything important so watch the show if you’re curious why I used quotation marks).

I put Tsukihi on the top of the list because I’m just so fascinated with her character in the show. I’m going to sound conceited but I generally consider myself fairly good at reading characters (at least in fiction). But Tsukihi stumps me. I never know what she could be thinking or what she’s going to do next.

And her character’s not just LOL random too if that’s what you’re thinking. Some interestingly good character-building went on with her and I love it.
