Netflix Sets Release Date for the Second Season of South-Korean Thriller Series ‘The Glory’

Netflix doesn’t seem to be playing around this March with all the new content lined up for release. It’s been confirmed that season two of The Glory will arrive on the streaming platform on Friday, March 10, joining other Netflix-March launches such as MH370: The Plane That Disappeared, Outlast, Rana Naidu, and The Law of the Jungle.

The Glory began its preparation in January 2021 to be produced in two eight-episode seasons. Season one landed on December 30, 2022, attracting a whopping 7.9/10-star rating on IMDb and an 8.9/10 on MyDramaList.

What’s The Glory About?

Written by Kim Eun-sook, The Glory focuses on Moon Dong-Eun, an ex-victim of constant physical abuse and bullying at school, as she seeks revenge on her enemies.

After acquiring a job as a homeroom teacher at an elementary school of one of the bully’s children, Moon thinks that to be the right opportunity for her plans.

Does The Glory Season Two Have a Trailer?

Definitely! Netflix uploaded the official teaser for part two of The Glory three weeks ago before releasing the main trailer two weeks later.

It begins with, “Once revenge is over, will you find happiness?” as Moon seems set to keep up with her revenge plans. Simultaneously, she can’t stop reflecting on her old school days full of violence.

Who are Behind The Glory?

Besides Kim Eun-sook, The Glory is directed by Ahn Gil-ho, who also serves as a chief producer alongside Eun-sook, Kim Beom-rae, and Kim Seaon-Tae.

Kim Yong-kyu and Yoon Ha-rim are the producers, with Hwa&Dam Pictures as the production company behind the series.

Who Will Likely Return in The Glory Season Two?

Joining Moon Dong-Eun played by Song Hye-Kyo in the second season of The Glory, are Jung Sung II (Ha Do Young), Yeom Hye Ran (Kang Hyun-Nam), Park Sung Hoon (Jeon Jae-joon), Im Ji-Yeon (Park Yeon-jin), and Lee Do-Hyun (Joo Yeo-Jung).

How Much Has the Series Been Promoted?

Through tweets and posters, Netflix has actively praised and promoted The Glory, especially the upcoming season.

Song Hye-Kyo also shared the official trailer for the series via her main Instagram account, captioning it with the main release date.
