The Out-Laws: Netflix’s New Action-Comedy in Production

Netflix’s new movie in production, The Out-Laws, just wrapped up filming on December 18th. Netflix has said of the movie’s plot:

“The story follows Owen Browning (Adam Devine) is a straight-laced bank manager about to marry the love of his life, Parker. When his bank is held up by the infamous Ghost Bandits during his wedding week, he believes his future in-laws who just arrived in town, are the infamous Out-Laws.”

The Out-Laws will be directed by Tyler Spindel, known for his work on comedies like Father of the Year, The Wrong Missy, and Deported. Adam Sandler’s production company, Happy Madison, is producing The Out-Laws along with Adam Devine, Isaac Horne, and Brendan O’Brien.

Adam Devine, known for his many comedic roles in productions including Modern Family, The Righteous Gemstones, and Pitch Perfect, will be joined by Irish actor Pierce Brosnan, known for playing the role of Bond, James Bond, among his many other movies. Brosnan will play Billy McDermott, the father-in-law (outlaw?) of Devine’s character Owen Browning. The tone of the movie is expected to be along the lines of Meet The Parents, which starred Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro.

Also cast, although we don’t know their characters yet, are The Vampire Diaries star Nina Dobrev, Guardians of the Galaxy’s Michael Rooker, Ellen Barkin, Richard Kind, Julie Hagerty, actor and comedian Lil Rel Howery, Poorna Jagannathan, and Blake Anderson.

There is no sign of a release date as yet, but judging by the timelines of previous movie productions and releases, we expect The Out-Laws to be released late next year.
