What We Know So Far About the Sequel to Knives Out

Knives Out, a star-studded murder mystery film that was released in theaters in 2019, was a big issue among moviegoers.

Is there a fresh plot?

Despite the fact that people enjoyed the setup for Knives Out, the writer and director stated that the next chapter will not follow the same path as the previous one.

“You can do so many different things with it.” Director Arian Johnson told SiriusXM

“And that’s what’s great about it…When you look at Agatha Christie’s books, you’ll see that they’re not all about a home, a library, and a detective. She experimented with a variety of subgenres in addition to setting. She walked into each of them by a distinct narrative path.”

Meet Knives Out’s A-list cast

Daniel Craig plays Benoit Blanc, a brilliant investigator who investigates the murder of a wealthy crime novelist in “Knives Out.” Chris Evans, Katherine Langford, Jamie Lee Curtis, Jaeden Martell, Michael Shannon, Don Johnson, Toni Collette, Ana de Armas, Lakeith Stanfield, and the late Christopher Plummer starred in the original picture.

In fact, it’s Golden Globe-worthy

In addition to its box office success, “Knives Out” has proven to be a strong contender for awards consideration during the 2020 Oscar season. The film received three Golden Globe nominations (Best Motion Picture Comedy or Musical, Best Actor in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical, and Best Actress in a Motion Picture Comedy or Musical for Ana de Armas), and director Johnson was nominated for an Academy Award for Best Original Screenplay.
